Merle the Blue Heeler needs a new home! Merle, a 1 year old beautiful, male, Blue Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog) is looking for a loving home. Merle is neutered, vaccinated, and has been treated for fleas/ticks and heartworm his entire life. He is a very sensitive and sweet dog who needs a lot of cuddles and affection. He has always been a little timid and needs reassurance to feel safe. Originally trained as a livestock guardian dog, Merle defected and decided he would rather be a pet!! Because of this, he has a hard time feeling comfortable with other dogs. He has lived most of his life on our farm in Grass Valley and enjoys open space and exercise. He likes to chase cats, squirrels and deer. He will need some time to learn to be on leash but with a lot of love and patience, Merle will be a fantastic companion. He loves to swim and play fetch.
